Designed by Achille Castiglioni and Pio Manzù in 1971. The lamp moves vertically via sliding of a painted or nickel-plated shaped steel tube on a ceiling-to-floor steel cable (4000 mm long). The height and direction of the lamp head can be adjusted. Parentesi is a classic of Italian design, and it has received the prestigious Compasso d'Oro design award.
Materials: nickel-plated shaped steel tube, steel cable and fixture head made of injection molded black elastomer.
