Does the end justify the means? In 1963, Franco Grignani accepted an invitation by the International Wool Secretariat to join the judging panel to select a new Woolmark logo. In a fascinating, complex story, he submitted what became the winning entry under an assumed name, Francesco Saroglia. The decision of the panel was unanimous and Woolmark went on to become one of the world’s most recognised brands.
